When it comes to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, there are a lot of different skins that players can use for their weapons. While all skins are purely cosmetic, there's something to be said about looking fresh on the server.
NFL Hall of Fame cornerback Deion Sanders always said, “If you look good, you feel good, and if you feel good, you play good.” What initially gave off the appearance of just another one of “Primetime’s” classic arrogance may actually hold merit.
Athletes in professional sports today embody this ideal. Looking good on the field raises their confidence and comfortability — qualities that are extremely important to elite athletics.
We know that clothing has the ability to considerably change the perceptions and reactions of others.
So, which skins are the most popular among professional CS:GO players that will give you that extra psychological edge on the server and have you clicking heads like ScreaM?
Please note: Most of these pro-owned skins are adorned with the legendary and extremely pricey Katowice 2014 Stickers - You can still own the skin itself without the stickers though - or even better with some just as good-looking but cheaper stickers. For example some skins are popular not only because the skin is crazy or expensive!
Jame’s AWP “Samehada” is also one of those examples. He has had it since around late 2018 and it is full of his signature stickers from different majors/events. You really know it is “Jame Time” when he whips out this bad boy and dominates the server.
This is quite a unique craft and it still is a 1/1. Normally there are many fans copying a “Pro craft”, but this is not the case yet with this iconic AWP.

This list is not in any specific order, we have just compiled the most used and most popular skins that Pros used for you in a quick and simple list!
The skins
Let us begin with the M4A1-S | Printstream this popular skin is quite well-received on every weapon it comes on. Currently, that is the USP-S, the Desert Eagle, and of course the M4A1-S Printstream!
It truly is a timeless classic already and it comes close to such names as the Redline series in popularity and in demand. So it is a no-brainer that even pros look fondly at this skin. It is quite pleasing to look at.
Here is the one that m0NESY used in 2022!
Hand Wraps | Overprint Polygons, Arrows, Flowers, or Mixed patterns!
We are fond of featuring these gloves.
Many people don’t know that, but they are actually (somewhat) pattern based.
The glove can depict more Polygons, Arrows, Flowers, or just some Mixed patterns!
We love that the Pros seem to like them as much as we do.
It is very nice to see that the older Knives like the M9 Bayonet are still getting a lot of love and attention from the CS community!
Be it a Sapphire or Ruby or a simple Lore, the pro players love them and so do we!
The M9 might be a bit chunky than its slim brother the Bayonet but it has quite a character and as we can see: it still is well received in the community.
The AK-47 | Bloodsport has been used in many majors ever since it was introduced. A great fit especially with some cool red stickers! But if the high-end Katowice 2014 or the more budget but still pricey Katowice 2015 stickers are too much you, any budget red sticker will do to transform this skin into a force to be reckoned with!
The AWP | Dragon Lore is one if not the most iconic skin in the entire game! So it comes as no surprise that this behemoth is still being used in competitive play on a professional level! It has seen a lot of competition with all of the great AWP skins that got released in the early past. But do not worry! You do not have to get one with 4x iBUYPOWERs Kato 14 Holos like S1mple: this behemoth’s price is still quite high.
The Butterfly is quite a popular if not the most popular knife skin in the entirety of CS:GO. The animations, the sound, the style, and the spinning is what draw players towards it. Not to forget the OG finishes you can have on this blade. By far the most used Butterfly skin in recent years had been the Butterfly Knife | Fade!
It is quite a good-looking, although expensive skin!
The newer AK-47 | Nightwish has also seen some usage this year in the Pro CS scene!
The Nightwish really divides the CS:GO community. This vibrant AK is not for everyone!
You either love it or hate it.
We are happy to see that some pro players like m0NESY took its side and stood by this pearlescent demon.
The most sought-after Gloves in the entire game, and in terms of demands from professionals, are the Sport Gloves | Vice! Expensive, vibrant…a status symbol. Those Gloves fetch an easy price of at least 18000 USD!
They are very very rare to get in Factory New and with clean knuckles. Those gloves in good condition and with clean knuckles show everyone what you are made of!
But if you wanted you could also go for a worse condition and just not mind the knuckles too much.
A very pristine skin is the AK-47 | Gold Arabesque!
Its gold combined with its simple yet elegant work and craftmanship makes it quite popular with pro players. We have seen an insane AK used in the Rio Major 2022 by the Cloud9 rifler interz!
We love the ornaments and the engraving on the gun, especially on its magazine!
This skin is also the highest of its collection, so the price of it comes as no surprise!
We are very surprised to showcase the Glock-18 | Gamma Doppler in this here list!
Whatever you are looking for, as long as it is green this Glock has got you covered!
Especially the Emerald phase is popular among collectors and pro players alike.
For instance, Mopoz from Moviestar Riders used one in the PGL Major Stockholm 2021 - Challengers Stage.
The Sport Gloves | Pandora's Box are well known for their price and distinctness.
It comes as no surprise that these purple gloves are almost always played on the big screen, just like BlameF did the previous year!
Expensive, good looking, and very vibrant and outstanding color. What more could you wish for?
Hands down one of the best AWPs in the entire game has to be the AWP | Gungnir!
Named after Odin’s spear from Norse mythology this weapon really hits hard! It has quite a nice and shiny light blue to purplish pearlescent effect and carries a lot of references to Norse mythology on it. No wonder Pro players like Degster are so fond of this weapon!
One of the most used Glock skins in recent majors has been the Glock-18 | Fade!
This skin is quite popular with pro players and also the high-tier collectors in the CS:GO community.
Classic, iconic, and expensive. No stickers are even needed on this pristine gun!
Another cool addition is the AK-47 | Vulcan!
Also a rather old skin, but damn expensive in Factory New or a good Minimal Wear condition.
This calm and collected AK is the favorite of many pros!
The iconic Desert Eagle | Blaze is one of the most sought-after and simultaneously one of the most expensive Deagle skins in the entire game! The only other deagle that is close to or above its price range would probably be a Factory New Souvenir Deagle Hand Cannon, but that is also more of a collector’s piece instead of a play skin or investment.
It’s great but also its simplistic look makes it great for sticker crafts. So no wonder we see it used by Dev1ce for instance. Classy, iconic, and with great stickers!
We also feature the M4A1-S | Decimator and BlameF yet again.
For the M4A1-S meta, we have seen this skin rise to glory once again.
This retro Vaporwave skin is really satisfying to look at. It looks best if you top it off with some really cool blue or purple stickers.
For quite an underrated AWP we have this little fella on our list! The AWP | Neo-Noir has it all. It comes from a great family of skins, has nice contrast colors, and has a good vibe to it.
If you are looking for a good AWP that is not too expensive you can easily go for this AWP!
Specialist Gloves like the Specialist Gloves | Tiger Strike have seen some more love in the recent year. Normally you would almost never see those gloves in pro games. It used to be Spearmint, Vice, and Pandora’s monarchy, but we are happy to announce that now Specialist Gloves get more use nowadays!
The old and iconic skins, like the AK-47 | Fire Serpent are also being used in majors. Often with some old and very rare stickers! We love to see the old still being used with the new. We get some crazy and really unique combinations.
A go-to USP-S for almost every pro is the USP-S | Kill Confirmed! It is quite a popular, good looking and expensive skin. Everything is worthy of being shown on the big screen. And in the hands of pro players this Kill definitely is confirmed!
It is nice to see the M4A1-S | Cyrex also on the list! The price tag of this skin is more on the budget for skins that the pros like Dycha from ENCE use. Granted, without the expensive Katowice 2014 or the less expensive Katowice 2015 stickers, it still quite a good-looking and futuristic skin.
Many Pro players prefer it because it is quite detailed for such an old skin.
One of the most used and liked knives is the Karambit | Doppler. Especially its Ruby or Sapphire version. Expensive, good looking, and a gem?! Sign us right up!
You can easily see why this Knife is so highly demanded by the pro scene!

Eventhough most skins that the actual pros use can be quite expensive because of the stickers, you can get yourself the skin they used and maybe craft something on it yourself?
It does not have to be 1000 USD, as long as you like it!
